Plumber Serving Tipton, CA
Tipton homes get the same response as our Tulare calls — no 'outside the service area' surcharge, no next-week scheduling for this-week problems.
Tipton is 11 miles south of our Tulare shop on Highway 99. That's a 15-minute drive down to Avenue 128 and back — close enough that we treat it as home turf, not an outlying route. If you're anywhere from the Land O'Lakes plant north, or the neighborhoods south to Avenue 120, we're there same-day for most calls and inside 90 minutes for emergencies.
What's different about Tipton plumbing
Two things set Tipton apart from Tulare proper. First, a much larger share of homes are on private wells or the Tipton Community Services District rather than municipal Cal Water. Well water here runs high on hardness (often 400+ ppm), iron, and — depending on the depth of your well — nitrates. That's why water heaters in Tipton fail faster, softeners are practically required, and shower heads scale over inside 12 months.
Second, the housing stock skews old. Most of the original town grid — the blocks around Evans Avenue, Woodville Road, and the older streets off Court Street — is 1930s–1960s construction. That's galvanized supply lines, cast iron waste stacks, and clay lateral sewer pipe running to whatever mainline connection existed at the time. Anything built in the last 25 years is a different animal (PEX, ABS, PVC) and priced accordingly.
Common Tipton calls
- Well pump and pressure tank issues. We work on both municipal and private well systems. Waterlogged bladder tank, failing pressure switch, cycling pump — all Tipton bread-and-butter.
- Water heater replacement. With the mineral load in Tipton wells, tank life is often 6–9 years. When yours quits, we can also install a softener at the same time so the next tank lasts twice as long.
- Nitrate and RO systems. Some rural wells north and south of town have nitrate readings that require point-of-use RO for drinking water. We install and service those.
- Sewer laterals. Older Tipton lots often have long runs to the mainline — 60–100 ft — through the clay-adobe soils typical of this stretch of the valley. Camera inspection before you commit to a repair.
